I live in south west Sheffield. The main estate agents for this side of the city, and some of the Peak District, are:

I was up in castleton on Sunday before Xmas. Absolutely glorious, we fancied a nose in the estate agents ourselves

The roads round there are bloody trecherous in the fog though, drive carefully!!! Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

What price range are you looking at, and how many bedrooms?0

I don't know how well you know the area, but having lived here all my life I know it pretty well, and I would recommend you concentrate searching on the following areas:
Southwest Sheffield:
Fulwood, Ranmoor, Crosspool, Lodge Moor (S10 postcode)
Ecclesall, Whirlow, High Storrs, Greystones, Bents Green, Ringinglow (S11)
Dore, Totley (S17)
Peak District:
Hathersage, Grindleford (S32)
Bamford, Bradwell, Hope, Castleton (S33)
All these are relatively expensive areas, some more than others, but are all well regarded and sought after and for good reasons. Feel free to send me a private message if you want more specific advice.0 -

Hi, some local info for you.
We own and rent a house in Hope, however it is let at the moment. Most local landlords seem to advertise in post office windows. This is the only place we ever advertise. The main POs for the valley are Hope and Hathersage.
For guidance ours is a small 3 bed for £625 with parking (which can be difficult with some cottages).
Good luck.0 -
thanks for the replies. i'm going to drive around at the weekend and have a look at whats available.0
