AA Insurance

What the heck has happened to AA Insurance in the past year or so (since I last dealt with them). Got a quote online from them today for insurance, just looked at my phone and there are four missed calls all of which turn out to be from AA Insurance (obviously following up my quote)

I've been getting insurance and quotes from them (online often) for best part of 10 years and never had reason to complain (no stupid emails or phone calls). Now suddenly they decide to be a pain in the posterior.

Thankfully there are plenty of other insurance companies out there :D

Spleen thoroughly vented :)

I stopped using them after they tried to charge me £480 on my car insurance , a £120 increase ! no claims in over 6 years and they tried to tell me they were doing me a "special" deal , yeah , special for them !
Shopped around and got a cover , with better extra`s , for £280 with Hastings !
What a shower the AA has become over the last few years !

I totally agree. I just had the AA home/contents insurance renewal papers through and it was nearly £200 more!

It's exactly the same way they manage their autocover - hike up the price and hope you don't check. I'm sure they make a lot of money this way when people can't be bothered to call but it's exceedingly bad practice to expect customers to haggle down every year.

    Bye Bye AA...

Took up home insurance with them this year because they were cheapest.
Made sure I put a dummy phone number on the form though and cancelled auto renewal when policy came through.
    Know them of old.
