I believe the ASSISI,who bought the dogs over from NI to the Blue Cross in the programme, spay & neauter ALL animals in their care as policy.
That is incorrect. We adopted our little Jack Russell from Blue Cross at Hitchin last year who is from Northern Ireland and she was not spayed. We did however receive a voucher for 50 pounds towards to cost.

The flagship hospital was in Victoria - central London. Cant help thinking that a less expensive area could have been found in the London area to have the hospital and tbh the people queuing up didnt seem that hard up to me.0

Did anyone else clock the HQ building of the Blue Cross?
Hardly underfunded there! Then there was that poor bloke having to pay for fencing material out of his own funds!
Not good publicity Blue Cross is it?Be happy, it's the greatest wealth

So what did you folks think about the merits of a compulsory neutering policy for the hard to home breeds like staffies?
Not read further than this, but personally I think all 'pets' should be neutered, and only breeders who meet criteria and are registered should be allowed to breed their pets.
Microchipping should be compulsory too IMHO
As a vet nurse I have seen too many back yard breeders, and it always seems to be staffies - breaks your heart!
I've also worked with PDSA and I wish they too would introdce compulsary neutering!
Soooo many people with badly trained or socialised staffies, taking the pee out of free pet care, and then to add insult to injury, are backyard breeding! :mad:I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

If memory recalls (it may be wrong!) I think their London Hosp was the first to be established, therefore their Flagship. Shame on them for not moving? No better that they stay there imho:T
