Disney World Florida May 2012 Can we re-sell tickets

Dear MSE's

I am planning a 3 week trip to the US in May 2012. We are thinking of staying in the Disney Resort for 2 weeks and then flying to Tennessee to visit family. We have enough airmiles to pay for the return internation flights, but we must return from the same airport into which we arrived. We therefore need return internal flights.

I have a couple of questions, firstly we thought that we might buy 21 day premier disney park tickets. Can we sell these tickets on, to use up the final week we won't use? If so, how?

Can anyone recommend the cheapest method of buying internal flights?

Are the dinning packages at disney work gooing for? They look quite good value, but not sure.

We are considering either Saratoga Springs villas, Animal Kingdom villas or Widerness lodges, any comments?

Thanks very much.

Disney dining - yes, choose a deluxe resort though (I see you looked already - Old Key West or Saratoga Springs) for the best value plan.

We stayed at AK Villas for a week and it was enough, it is quite far out of the way and takes ages to get anywhere on the bus so we would only stay a week, it is lovely there but not a huge amount to do and there is only one restaurant unless you go to Jambo House (10 minute walk) but the food was Afrikan and we did not like it much so was a bit stuck. Bear this in mind if you have fussy eaters. We did sa week ay AKV and a week at OKW. We did like OKW and it was nearer everything too, it is next door to SSR.

In regards to the tickets - you will have to fingerprint Adults tickets so they can't be used by anyone else. We had trouble getting into Universal and it would not recognise my husbands fingerprint and they wanted to know when we had last visited, dates and times, before they would let us in. You could sell them (there is a booth on the 192 next to the Levis store - go down World Drive onto the 192, turn left and it's a short way up there) but chances are, someone else cannot use them so it depends on what your morals are to be honest. We decided not to sell them on after that.

If you are doing a split stay, make sure you stay at your Disney resort first to get your tickets as they are on your key and you get them when you check in. We stayed there last and we had a huge nightmare getting tickets - days on the phone to the US and an hour waiting for them to be given early. Major, major headache. Stay in Disney first and you'll be fine.

It is gay week the first week in June so the parks will be very busy on certain days - google it.

One other thing we have struggled with is finding a plan/maps of the hotels. We have looked at the lovely pictures on the web, but want to have a picture of what we are actually booking. Are the villas basically, studio flats and how big are these complexes?

you can sell tickets on at a booth on idrive by the wooden go kart track.

i bought some tickets off them last year that had couple of days left after i had an unexpected second week in Orlando, the way round fingerprints was to go to guest relations and add extra days on for $6 a day they then issue some new tickets.

No, not studios, we stay in one bed villas. You can get studios but we prefer to have the full kitchen.

If you google 'floor plans' and the resort you are looking for, you will find it as there are some places that have them on the net so you can see, but that would just be an example. They are not 'villas' but they are made to look like Villas, they are the highest rating and they are worth the money (IMO). We only pay £175 a week (yes, you heard that right) because we pull a week from the timeshare bank and exchange it. :D

AKV has 2 bathrooms, a lounge/kitchen area and a bedoom and a balcony in the one bed.

OKW was much bigger, one bathroom/shower room and the bath in a seperate room.

For the size of the complex again, look on google Maps satellite. OKW and SSR have their own bus and boat service. It is massive. AKV is quite small in comparison and the bus pulls up outside.

We also stayed a week at Hilton Grand Vacation Club at Seaworld and that was pretty good too, walking distance from Seaworld. Would recommend it to anyone.
