leaking conservatory roof

Hello,

Glass conservatory roof is letting rain in through the lead flashing. This clearly needs replacing.

Who should be get in to do this work - roofer? general builder? conservatory specialist? window fitter?

Thanks in advance.

I had a similar problem with our conservatory ,i agree with the other 2 posts, but my problem was only eventually solved by a reputable conservatory firm who (they said) deal with this all the time.

Lead lasts a very long time, so I would hardly expect it to need replacing.

It might need to be re-dressed .. that's the technical term for making sure it fits tightly over the joint, between wall and conservatory roof. Maybe the wedges have come out, which hold the lead into the wall.

A general builder should easily be able to fix this.

If they state straightaway the lead needs replaced, get a couple of quotes. If you have a friend who is good at DIY, they could look for you .. because new lead isn't cheap.
