Rent to Buy

Is anyone on this scheme?? If so how did it work for you. I am eligible for it but worried its not as good as it sounds. You rent at a dropped rental price for upto 5 years giving you time to save for the deposit to buy the property. Then after the 5 years you should have a nice deposit saved to buy the house.
Is it that easy??
Is there any downsides?

Read the small print and consider all possibilities.
What price do you buy at? Is it fixed at the outset? What if house prices drop over the 5 years?
What happens if you can't buy within the 5 years? Can you buy after 6? If so what price? Who decides?
What security do you have during the 5 years renting? Who pays for repairs/maintenance?
And that's just Q.s off the top of my head!0
