CEX messing me around! HELP!

I ordered something from CEX. It was in stock when I purchased, well there were still 7 in stock.

I ordered on the 7th of this month, and the status didnt change for ages. I then posted a message on their facebook wall and sent them a couple of emails asking what is going on.

I received a reply from FB that they would pass the message on to the relevant team and I received an email reply advising me that my order had been prioritized.

I thought great, now we are getting somewhere. So my status changed that day from Stock picking in progress to stock picking complete. It stayed at that for 4 days or so and now has changed back to "Stock pick in progress".

This is really frustrating, it has almost been 2 weeks and I still haven't received the item. Although it is a small order of £8, I don't see why there should be any problems. I do not want to cancel cos' the same item is £20 elsewhere.

Do I have any rights? Can I report them to trading standards?

Help would be much appreciated

  • For what? being a bit slow? It's not even been 2 weeks so unless you bought it with a guaranteed delivery time you are likely stuck waiting for them to do something. You can still cancel though...

    Finally arrived today but the order is incomplete. I only received the plug and cable, not the actual wireless charging dock. :(
