Think an estate agent is stopping us viewing a property

Our completion has been delayed, which has left us shattered, as we've been waiting nigh on 6 months. So we decided to start looking at other properties, and there is one particular that we really did like right from the start. However, it's with the same estate agent that we have the current deal with.

And it's been a week now, and he doesn't seem to be getting us an appointment to view the house, citing that the vendors aren't getting back in touch with him.

Maybe that's the truth, i don't know, but i do get the feeling from him he doesn't want us to drop out of the deal with the current property ... anything i can do, or am i just lumbered ?

You will at least find out whether this is down to the agent. If so, the new seller will be interested to learn that the agent is more interested in selling properties other than their's.

What i though about was maybe making abooking for another property of the same ilk, just to test wether he is letting me see other properties, or it's a genuine reason that the vendor isn't getting back to him.
