I'm actually helping my girlfriend find another job within the nhs as we're relocating (or at least I am so far). She is currently a medical secretary so wants to do something similar - admin/secretarial. She went up yesterday for an interview for one of the jobs that was only advertised for a day and it sort of raised my suspicions a bit more as they didn't even seem to be aware that she was currently working and that she had travelled 2.5 hours to get there. It was almost as if they hadn't even read her application.

Having done quite a few interviews in the last year, I've realised that the interviews aren't necessarily done by the same people who did the shortlisting.
