Just purchased fridge yesterday in desperation, ours broke down full of food. It was promised to be delivered today, that was our condition for buying it. It is late! if it does not arrive today we want to cancel the transaction. We paid by credit card, what can we do?

Well - did they deliver?
Doesn't your house insurance cover you for loss of food in the fridge/freezer?0 -
You will need to contact the supplier (who you bought it from) and ask them for a refund as it was their fault that it was not delivered on time.Regards, Robin.2011 MFW # 34

Or contact your credit card company and tell them the item has not been delivered and ask them to do a chargeback.0

Or refuse delivery if they arrived and ask for refund.0
