Im after a decent file splitter so that HD video files can be split/cut
Ive got 'FormatFactory' to do the job but it changed the sound to 2 channel (want to keep it at 5) and it came with the ****in ASK TOOLBAR
Anyone had any experience with splitting HD files?
Just so your aware of exactly what im after. If the films say 2 hours long, I want to cut a 2 minute section out of it (or whatever). Hopefully all HD capable files (AVI, MP4 MKV etc)
Cheers for all replies

Best way is to probably get your hands on a video editor.
Import the movie (it will split the video and the audio it to different streams)
Select the portion required then export that as a new movie.
that will keep the 5.1 audio
*note*
I'm not sure if other splitters will keep the 5.1 audio as i've never used splitters.
I tend to use video editors on my Ubuntu machine for the odd time i need to make clips.Laters
