Are all dishwasher inlet hoses the same?

We've broken the cold-fill inlet hose on our office dishwasher (!). I found this:

However, the link above says 3/4" connector. The diameter of the inlet on our dishwasher and the old screw connector is 1" so it doesn't sound like the one above would fit.
Is it that washing machines and dishwashers are different, or that our Hotpoint dishwasher is an odd size?

Are you sure it's 1"?
It should say on the instructions. However, I've only ever seen 3/4" used for domestic machines.
What you could do is physically measure the diameter of the thread on the back of the machine then pop up to B&Q and measure the (inside) diameter of the hoses there for comparison.
The hose you show is 2.5m long though so be careful it doesn't kink when you finally push it back into position.
If, on the other hand it is 1" then a simple brass 3/4" x 1" bush will sort that out.You have been reading.....another magnificent post by garethgas :beer:0
