B & Q dilemma!!!

hi,
B & Q were supposed to deliver a kitchen yesterday but suprise suprise they didn't.
However on ringing them today they have said that the delivery company have said they tried to deliver at 1.30pm but no one was in. Quite simply this is a bare faced lie.
My girlfriend took the entire day off work and we even left a note on the front door saying we were in and that the door was open. At approx 1.30pm she remembers actually being in the kitchen - within easy hearing distance of the front door (which can be heard from anywhere in the house).
Also the street is quite narrow (with doors opening onto the street) and any B & Q sized lorries would/ can be easily heard from anywhere inside the property/ back yard.
Also they had 2 contact numbers for us and didn't ring either of them (no missed calls or messages) we specifically checked in store that the driver would have these in case of any problems.
Do we have any come back or is it going to be simply their word against ours?
Thanks in advance.

Tell B+Q you would like to have a face-to-face meeting with the delivery driver and his manager to discuss the alleged attempt to deliver, and would like him to explain why he failed to notice the note on your door. He will also be asked to describe the street you live in, and the outside of your house."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

yet again sounds like that old trick of putting it down as an attempted delivery rather then a failed one, this means that the delivery company still get paid and their KPI's will still look good so have more chance of keeping the contract in future - call their bluff.0

ask them to confirm all those little details only someone who had rung your bell buzzer would know0

hi , just to let you know we had a kitchen supply and fit from b & q
four months later it still has not been fully supplied or fitted , we were
left without running water , worktops , gas hob for nearly three weeks,
we are going to have to replaster the ajoining wall in the dining room which the fitters had damaged , despite numerous visits to the store ,phonecalls, threats of solicitors etc ... b & q will not confirm when all the parts will be available , although a date of mid january has been given for the fitter to return to complete work required which involoves removing and making good there original work !!
, b & q will not commit to any form of compensation and will not discuss until in there eyes the work has been completed , all this hassle from b & q and a pregnant partner , would i recommend them to anybody ... never!!:rolleyes:0 -
after a refund dispute with them several years ago we swore never to visit their store again - their loss was Homebase gain !0

Cripes, don't get me started on B & Q. They are an absolute nightmare, or should I say the companies they employ to do the fitting are. The company they sent in to do the remedial work were as bad as the first lot. I can't even bring myself to explain what went wrong as it totally drained my husband and myself, suffice to say when the fitter says "I've never fitted a corner unit before" you somehow know you're in for a rough ride, don't you? Never again.0 -
Wonder if anyone has ever done what the woman did in Casualty last night?!0

This delivery guy delivered a kitchen to a woman, who flipped when it turned out to be wrong (driver didn't know as was packaged up in boxes) so she locked him into a spare room and took his phone off where he proceeded to collapse cause he was Diabetic and she wouldn't give him any fluids.
Nice and relevent I'm sure!0
