  • In 2007 I aim to pay off £14,000. This will get my debts under £15,000 and mean I can be debt free in 2008 :j

I am aiming for a year of no spending except for budgeted items. So no clothes,cd's books etc.

£7199.91, which works out at less than £600 a month.

OK, so it's £599.99, but still, psychologically important _pale_

Wow! Good luck to everyone in their 2007 targets - we can do it!

I will pay off the remaining £2K (in my sig) - just 3 months to go!

I will save the monthly £700 x 9 = £6,300 as my "safety net", along side the current £200 month x 12 for annual bills (separate pot).

2008 plans (oh how sad am I ;) ) are then to increase pension payments, overpay mortgage and have a great holiday.

Am I wishing my life away here!
    Back on the DFW Wagon:

    CC - £3,300 on 0% til 04/2020
    CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019
    Loan - £12,063.84 as at 4/1/18

  • Lots of luck to you all in achieving your goals!!

I aim to be debt free by this summer ... my motivation is imagining that wonderful feeling of not owing anyone a penny ha ha.

  • At least the £4,000 so my debt will be below £10,000. With some luck on my side Halifax might accept an offer of settlement. Roll on the totals next year. Good luck all.

I will pay off the evil cahoot flexible loan which is £7500, actually I am kind of cheating because my house has sold and I will pay it by the end of January, in fact I will pay off all my debt, so my total will be around 40k paid off. Instead I plan to save like a mad woman to replace the equity from the house so one day we can buy our home in canada. My goal is to repay the debt to myself, so I will put £7,500 in savings this year (the same amount as the cahoot loan). My challenge is to smash that target and save £12k by finding other ways to make extra cash and more ways to stop spending it.
