How do I go about son taking over phone/internet?

We have our phone with BT and our internet with Pipex.

We will be leaving this house very shortly to move to another area and don't want to transfer anything so will need to cancel our accounts with the above.

We also have Sky tv on a promotional offer which we want to transfer to new place.

Son/girlfriend have a Sky package for phone/broadband/tv in girlfriend's name in her flat but they will both be living here when we go so want to transfer that package to this address.

BUT, we all want the phone number in this house to stay the same so what's the best way to go about changing all this over so we retain the number?

Do I cancel the Pipex internet but leave the phone connected so that Sky can transfer the account across and then take over the number?

Have a word with Sky customer service if you can get through, they should be able to talk you through the requirements.
