I wouldn't work for such a miserable employer.
Really, they can't afford to pay someone 15 minutes to do their job properly? Pathetic.
Doubt your company would attract decent staff, but maybe you're happy with that.0 -

I think they said 30 mins each day and that over 5 days is 2.5 hrs which at minimum wage is about £14 a week is it not?0 -
Sounds quite harsh, but like you said if you wanted to work your way up, you had to!My first job, with one of the main clearing banks stated: Overtime must be worked to suit the requirements of the Bank,Payment will be made at the rate of ...... an hour for each completed quarter hour worked after 5.00pm and at weekends but no payment will be made until one half hour of overtime has been worked. Most office managers would work the staff until 29 minutes past 5.00 as it made their department more efficient. If you wanted to progress this was the "system".0 -

Btw, this isnt a real issue im having now, but im applying for jobs, and have seen this sort of thing .0 -
With some employers, it is the time on department that matters. E.g. some might say you have to sign on in the fifteen minute period before your shift, so if you start at 8am then you would need to clock in between 745am and 8am to ensure you are on shift at right time. likewise no clocking off at 2 minutes to 6pm etc.0
