Back in february we bought a number of packets of dahlias from Wilkos. Now several months on as the flowers are lookng stunning!

No, but my primroses are springing back to life again! My petunias, mimulus, labelia and fuschia look v. helathy too...

Hi, good to see you are MSE'rs as well as UKEX'ers
I got some form Wilko's a bit late in the season having spent some time working in the US.
They are just coming into flower now.
One day i will get the imperialis to flower....one day....
Incidentally did you see Mr Tichmarsh planted one in his new show a few episodes back ?

Havent had D imperialis flower yet, but we did manage one flower on D excelsa late last year, just before the frosts hit in November!0 -
I Love Dahlias and they grow very well herein the North of Scotland, I grow them from seed and sometimes get the tubers - the seed always grows well. I used to leave them in the ground over winter but have now moved to a clay soil so will be lifting them
