18 month or 1 Year Fixed Rate Savings Account

We are looking to save around £130 per month in a fixed rate account. Would prefer it to be an 18 month term, although these seem to be hard to find so a 1 year term would also be ok.

We want to save for a holiday so needs to be a fixed term otherwise we know we will just dip into it !!

Have spents hours looking online but the fixed rate accounts seem to require an initial deposit of around £500, which we just dont have. We need one that we can open with a minimal amount and then pay in around £130 per month via direct debit or standing order.

Could really do with some advice from the more knowledgeable people on here !

Thanks in advance.

Christine.

Have you taken the time to look at the top of this page?

I really dont think theres any need to be rude, I doubt many people "take the time " to look at the top of pages.

I have however taken the time to look up regular savings accounts, and am currently reading through the information. Thank you for the suggestion.

The West Bromwich Building Society Regular Adult Saver paying 4.1% might be suitable.

West Brom and Northern Rock are two good ones paying around 4%. Ok they are losing accounts at the moment, given inflation is at 5%, but the best of a bad bunch for saving regularly.
