Prepaid cards?

Hi all, don't know if this is in the right place but..
I have a slight problem with spending too much money when I go out. I have been looking at getting a prepaid card but have been confused by it all.
Does anyone know of any decent ones that don't charge too much to use the card?
Thanks

The AA Spend & Earn card. Free to top up by transfer from a bank and free to use in UK for purchases. Fees apply for cash withdrawals and topping up in shops. 1 point earned per £1 spent in garages and supermarkets 1 point earned per £2 spent elsewhere. Each 1000 points can be exchanged for a £10 voucher to spend at one of a number of retailers. Double points for AA members.

Don't be spending extra to get the vouchers though!0 -
I just applied for it
Looked like the best one I have seen.
Thanks

Why not open a basic bank account? These offer visa debit cards which can be used in most ATMs, but don't allow you to overdraw. There're generally no fees either. Transfer what you want from your main account and hey presto. Currently I'd suggest looking at either Co-op, Barclays or HBOS as they have most ATM inter-availability.0
