Hello i had car finance with ppi added,this is from 1999 but i have all the documents. I have heard that dc cook holdings plc have gone bust,so who can i claim against??

Due to the age of the ppi You should go for the insurer, just put a complaint into them and if you get a no,then the FOS can help you.

I have had a car from dc cook however i have no paperwork. I bought it from the wirral branch around 1994. I know the registration of the car and know I paid almost double the value through the finance. Could you help with who I claim against as am certain ppi was added?

It's pre-regulation by 11 years, so no point in making a complaint.

Amazing how our responses have changed over the years, Amersall! Eight years ago (almost to the day) you were advising someone who bought from a car dealer pre-regulation to chase the insurer! As you now know, the insurer only had liability in very limited circumstances..
