Looks like they've now pulled the offer.

I asked about N&P's eBond and the issue of a cheque on matured funds - can anyone confirm how Barnsley handles matured funds (ie. bank transfer to nominated account?).

Barnsley convert the fixed rate account to an instant access account on maturity.
You can then transfer sums out by BACS.

    I know they are.
The Barnsley one is no longer available for new applications on their web site.
The Yorkshire one is still available for new applications.

Interesting that the identical account at YBS, who own Barnsley BS, isn't mentioned but I guess that will be withdrawn on the same date.

I have just opened an a/c with YBS for the 3.5% bond. It is really easy to do when paying with a debit card. I already have the Barnsley 3.5% bond but obviously can't add to that any more.

"Did you ask them if you could roll over the proceeds from your bond that matures at the end of this month to this one?"

    No.

I may pop into a Yorkshire agency tomorrow and enquire about their offering. (If I'm allowed out tomorrow) The mechanics of this though are to my mind a bit long winded, we are all aware that Barnsley are part of the Yorks group but as far as I am aware, they have different bankers so assets cannot be directly transferred. In practice this means that Barnsley send me a cheque and I then send one of my own to Yorks so there's a week written off during which time Yorks could pull their offer.

Looks like the Yorkshire offer has disappeared too!
