Detached holiday cottage in Gwynedd

I'm looking for a detached holiday cottage in Gwynedd, near Porthmadog, Borth y Gest or Criccieth.
I reckon I've exhausted the usual holiday companies and they're either unsuitable (cannot have one that takes pets) or unavailable for the week we want in September (2nd/3rd).
Any suggestions appreciated.

I always look for ones that don't take children:rotfl:To Dare is To Do:beer:0

Oh blimey, I read that as you needing one that takes pets, pmsl. Well, you should have a greater choice of ones that dont take them! Ive deleted that fab one then that takes 3 dogs.
How many people? But many take dogs even if it says they dont on a brochure site. Would it be better to go to somewhere a bit swisher, like a hotel where they are unlikely to allow dogs in the rooms? Oh but you want detached aswell?0 -

Thats always a bonus for us too
Dogs are much better than kids screaming all over the place.
Actually, these welsh places seem extremely good value compared with the likes of Dorset/Somerset/Devon. And they seem happy to take dogs in most
May have to try Wales next year.
Anyway, try these:

Oh and what about National Trust cottages?

The fridge is empty, the walls are damp, there's no hot water
And I look like a tramp and tramps like us

Is it a pet allergy ? And is it a week starting on the 2nd or 3rd or just the two nights. hard as nails on the internet . wimp in the real world :cool:0

Thanks all for the responses.
It's the week either beginning 2nd or 3rd ...
It is because of a pet allergy, not really bad but after past bad experiences I'd rather not take the risk.
I'd love to try a top hotel but would rather have our own front door to come and go as we please, cottages suit us much better. I've also had bad experiences with attached properties - very, very noisy neighbours who appeared to want to annoy us simply because we were tourists.
I will look through the suggestions. Thanks

Best of luck. From my recent experience there are quite a lot of late availability around at reduced prices this year.
Re the neighbours wanting to annoy you because you are tourists - is this a general thing in Wales then? I have to say Ive never been there but having trawled for cottages for you I thought I may go for a few days.0 -
Do look at the wonderful places they have on the Under the Thatch website - www.underthethatch.co.uk and also there are quite a few guest-recommendations for cottages in Wales on Rated Places - www.rated-places.com and quite probably on My cottage holiday - www.mycottageholiday.co.uk
