my dmp starts on 1st of Jan  I've got just 2 days to find the money for my first payment.
I didn't expect it all to happen so soon, I thought I would have more notice than just 2 days notice

I'm guessing that it's probably been slowed down by holiday post.
Can I ask how long it took for you to get the pack after talking to CCCS?No longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -
it may have been slowed down a little but not by much, the letter that came with it is dated the 22nd, so even if it had been posted that day and it had arrived the next day it still would have only given 7 days to find the money.
I signed up over the net on 1st December, received the forms to fill in a couple of days later, returned them all 10 days later (had to wait for my credit card statement to arrive to send to them) and my dmp pack arrived this morning.0 -
how much do you need to find looby? is it a lot?
how about ringing cccs and discussing it with them?

it's £93, which isn't a lot to some people, but it is to me
esspesially this soon after christmas. (my income for a week is £145)
I'll try phoning them later to see what they say. The first payment has to be done via the post office and I'm sure that I read somewhere that takes the best part of a week to get to the intended resipient so even if I had the full amount here and now and paid today it still wouldn't get to them before the 1st of the month

i know it maybe not much help right now but things will get better hun so chin up:)
is there anything you can list on ebay (10p listing day today) do it on a 3 day listing. i know you wont get the money straight away but it could help getting some money back to you after you take the £93 out of your budget. maybe do a storecupboard and grocery challenge?
just a thought....

Give them a ring I'm sure it will be ok to pay a bit later. When you pay CCCs on the 1st of the month it doesn't actually reach your creditors until the 25th of the month.
BTY, the post office won't be open on the 1st so I'll be paying mine on the 3rd or the 4th. I've done this before and it has been fine...
hope this helps

Hi looby - I got my pack this morning too.
I'm not sure if maybe you're a step ahead of me and have allready sent back your DMP agreement - but the pack I received this morning informs me that my payments will be due on the !st of every month, but it doesn't say that I have to start in January - I think it starts after they get the pack back.
Appologies if you have allready sent your pack back (and especially if I've missed something in the posts, but kids are nagging so much can't concentrate) but I thought it worth a mention in case you are at the same point.
Best wishes
