Any recommendations for a desktop + standard accessories including monitor will be welcomed.
Whatever I buy will be used as a home pc with some basic business use. No games usage, video or TV download but hope to get into digital photography and music download.
Are these sensible+ realistic minimum specs? :
160GB hard disk
1GB RAM
multi-format burner
128 MB video card
4 USBs
17" monitor
Do I need a duo core processor?
Is Vista worth waiting for?
The limited research that I've done so far has suggested the following PCs:
Watford Aries Performa 3500 + RV
Dell Dimension C521
Medion Titanium Multimedia PC MD 8818 (an Aldi offer earlier in Dec. so may not still be available)
Mesh Elite E6400 (more expensive though)
Anything else you'd advise me to consider?
Many thanks.

I just bought the packard bell linked above, I use photoshop cs2 so the duo core processor helps me to multi task. Its got a 17inch flat screen monitor which is great and if u take out their IT support package, first month free, you save a further £10. So in all it cost £489.99 and I can cancel the support package whenever I like... which will be before the first month is up.
