We're having "all things bright and beautiful" and "give me joy in my heart" as our two hymns - we just wanted things everyone would know and could sing along to. Nothing worse than a wedding where nobody sings!0

If you have no idea at all then go for hymns that people will know, the usual "school" hymns. I wouldnt worry too much about whether people know the words, hymns are great because once the first verse is done the rest follow the same tune and people have picked it up by then! Our hymns werent the usual wedding type ones and everyone sang their hearts out :-)
We had -
Traditional bridal marches in and out of church
- Amazing Grace
- Eternal Father strong to save
- Seek ye first the kingdom of god
Register signing music
- Morning has broken (choral setting)
- We've only just begun, The Carpenters:jProud mummy to a beautiful baby girl born 22/12/11 :j0 -

Hi
Entered chapel and left to Trumpet voluntary.
Sang hymns All things bright and beautiful, Give me joy in my heart and Lord of all hopefulness.
Singed the register to The hills are alive with the sound of music (we live in a hilly area and I love the sound of Music)!

jocstoke, I'm hoping to have a gospel choir too. I adore gospel music, but my OH isn't convinced it's a good idea (but it's the one area I am refusing to budge on!). I love your song choices, especially the one when you leave the church.

Would you mind me asking how much you're paying? I've had some astonishingly expensive quotes so far...
I've sent you a PM MsShopper, sorry for the delay in getting back to you0 -
for hymns I got my future husband to choose one, my mother to choose one and my mother in law to choose the third. That way they all felt involved and I did not have to bother about it
