Free school meals

Hi everyone :D This is my first post to please be gentle ;) Ive just done an evaluation with "entitledto" to see if im recieving the correct tax credits, it has giving me the exact sum of what im currently getting which is good.....im a bit confused as it says im entitled to free school meals but my childrens school says…

From benefit income only.

If you work and you earn less than £13,000, you cannot claim free school dinners. I know because as a single parent my household income was a lot less than that, but as it included wages and WTC, I wasn't entitled to free school dinners.
