Hi
I've searched for information on this but cannot find any answers.
I subscribed to an online dating site 6 days ago but since then I've encountered some money problems and really cannot afford this subscription now. Under the DSR's would I be able to cancel this service?
Their T&C's state the following.
Any help and advice would be very much appreciated.

Their T&C's state the following.
Article 9. Right to cancel under distance selling regulations
9.1 This section applies to you only if you are a "consumer" as defined in the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 resident within the EU you may cancel your order for the Services by giving us written notice within seven working days of placing your order. Within 30 days of your notice we will provide a refund. However, this right of cancellation does not apply once you have started to use the relevant Services.
Any help and advice would be very much appreciated.

Their T&Cs reflect you current situation regarding the DSRs, I'm assuming you've already started using the service and by doing so agreed that the cancellation period no longer applies.0

I would wonder what constitutes "having used the service"? Contacting a potential date? Certainly. Browsing profiles? Debatable.0

Just cancel it, will they take you to court just for a few pounds? The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0
