My crown has fallen out!
If I go to a dentist what will they be able to do?
or should I just superglue it back?
Many thanks

Depends how it's broken.
Go to the dentist, it might just simply cement back on.
Definately DON'T superglue it back. How to find a dentist.
1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.0 -
The crown has fallen out (eating a cheese sandwich!)
I am phobic about dentists which is why I would prefer to do it my self. The best portion of your life will be the small, nameless moments you spend smiling with someone who matters to you.0 -
The dentist will make sure the area is clean & re-fit the crown. If you managed to go through the time and ordeal of getting a crown done, having it re-fitted properly will be a doddle.Truth always poses doubts & questions. Hi,
if it's the type with a pin, it can be cemented back in, no drilling involved.0 -
I was put off dentists when i had my crowns down. I was under the impression that I was getting a small filling done and when I came round from the anesthetic I found out that I had been given four crowns. I hated them then and I still hate them (20 years later).
I realise that if I have them removed I am stuck with false teeth, but the crowns have black lines round them and I don't smile because I know how awful they look, but I don't want to go back to the dentist in case they do something else that can't be put back.
I'll pop in a dentist or two (if I can!) and see what they suggest.

I have had to take teeth out where someone has tried to cement a crown with a post on with superglue . The superglue set before the crown was properly seated and they bit down completely breaking the root. Don't do it.
No dentist will be able to tell you what needs doing without doing a detailed examination of your mouth. You are just going to find a sympathetic dentist and go fir a check up to see what needs doing, there is no other option.0 -
Well I went to the dentist, and they refitted the crown and . .
they realized I am seriously phobic and have referred me to the dental hospital for the rest of the work I need doing.
Still shaking from it!The best portion of your life will be the small, nameless moments you spend smiling with someone who matters to you.0 -

No dentist these days would do any treatment whatsoever without your express permission.
They would be struck off.
Go back, they can remove these black lines, false teeth are really a last resort and I wouldnt wish them on anyone.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

I too shake after dental work - they said it's common side-effect of anaesthetic. Also you may want to postpone plans afterwards and have a nap.:A0
