In an MSE style, buy a full size bed, will last longer and cheaper than buying two beds a few years apart

oh, for a girl - i was going to post about the one in focus lol! it's a red racing car, £99 but i think that's without mattress. it's fab, low down for a young toddler but i think it had a full size mattress so they could still sleep in it when older, and you could get in for a cuddle or use it as a spare bed.

i really want to buy it but we have nowhere to store it until needed, and it will be a while before we need it :(
    52% tight
  • we got the Ikea one to and it only cost us about 30 quid, toddler is still in it and we are planning to use it for our baby as well. Very good for the price

Ikea beds will last longer as they are 160cm long vs. 140cm for the East Coast ones.

I want one too! Bit drastic for us to move house to accommodate a bed though, whihc we'd pretty much have to do:rotfl: :rotfl:

We bought a shorty bunk bed from argos
http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/6611565.htm. They're slightly narrower so fit better into the boys bedroom, and minimum age is 3 years, so lower than alot of recommended ones.
We were lucky in that last Christmas we got £50 argos vouchers from sky so made it a bit cheaper. They've gone up by £10 since last year though too.

Thanks patchkipper, but unfortunately it's not a toddler bed, it's a standard sized single bed. Big pity, would have bought it otherwise.
Ah! Good old trusty beer... I hope you never change.
