New day, new dawn, new diary ... yeh, yeh yeh ...
My life is more stable and happier than it has been for years and my most magic moment recenty is the most important person in my life has finally given up his cc's
:D:D:D:D:D So I can really begin the long and winding road. Which is going to be a bit of a mind pickle because my health is not playing the game and work where we live is sparse and lots of odd and daft reasons mean that he is staying at home whilst I am working. (Stay with me here it means there is loads I can't say properly cos of one of my jobs but we aren't sat at home doing nothing - that sounds odd but its how our life is and why I don't do a SOA).. Anyway I'm rambling already..
So life in Pen Towers today - we're just finishing a weekend alone and it has been very very nice. We did go away but the hotel was rubbish and at 3am this morning I realised it would be better and cheaper just to come home and lounge for the day. Which we did and it was brill.
Grocery budget for the fortnight is a bit tight now because I bit the bullet and got the kids new clothes before we go on our hols. Much needed and I think I found funky enough stuff for the oldest.
Debtbusting can take on a new road now because I can now finally move the family debts to better rates etc, now that I have the cards. I'm not here to justify myself but I wasn't prepared to shift things about until I could plug the leaks if you see what I mean.
This will probably be my normal strange diary but I guess that's how my life is. Today my health has been better because I took the choice to come home and do what was comfortable to me. Something I don't always have the guts to do.
Lets see what tomorrow brings ... a bit more rain by the looks of it but at least we won't need to water the new turf
Onwards and upwards (or should I say downwards with regards to the debts - just going to pay a £1 off one because I feel frivalous and finding it hard to stop me partaking in the N+xt Sale).
Happy Sunday all x (PS no work tomorrow...... gert lush!)

Hi all,
I know this is not place to start this discussion but I didn’t find the new post option. Health is a main concern for everybody, because our life stands on it. But most of the time we are spending money on unusual things for example regularly we are going to doctor for minor issue ,and taking medicine on regular basis, due to that our body addicted to the medicine and after some year it our body will not respond to the medicine also. Body control in our hand, sometimes regular exercise will provide the better fitness, and in this case there is no need for spending money on it. I think this is the most money saving technique.0 -
I had to do a proper grocery shop today - we were out of everything (apart from meat in the freezer). But I was good and did my meal planner first. Took DH with me and he was very impressed with the shopping list laid out in the same order as the store (stopped him adding treats to the trolley
). So £80 spent but school holidays start this week and I won't have to do dinner money for a while. It will all balance out.
Other than that - no spends to report. I've set a little bill to clear this time. So £2 paid off (found lurking in one of my accounts) £102 to go.
Pen Towers is back to normal tonight, and ready for school/work tomorrow. Sarnies made and having a peaceful eveningThis time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.

3 weeks of school holiday have flown past already
Over the last couple of days we have completely ripped apart our finances, looking to start afresh with the new school term. I was trying to plough so much back into the debt to clear it that I wasn't leaving enough for us to live on again (mind you we could of lived on less if we tried). Getting into the s*d it, chuck it on a card, pay it off payday vicious circle.
So, the plan of action for the next couple weeks is cash only! Which always terrifies me. I have put back enough for groceries and petrol until the end of next week. Then I've worked out a budget for each day of our little holiday. DH is not very fond of the spending diary but he's going to have to get used to it.
No targets apart from keeping to cash until September. Then my plan is to plod on a killing a pile of smaller bills whilst at the same time making sure we have enough to cover Christmas and set up a proper car maintenance fund.
I've managed quite well the last couple of weeks. Its funny how I can find food to take to work and how wine doesn't look quite as appealing when I've only a few pennies in my purse. Even the car is on a petrol diet and must be getting bored of sitting on the drive! This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.

I find it soooo hard not to spend in the summer holidays - its like my brain gets swapped for a rich one!
Still doing cash only. Which is quite amusing for the family as I nearly cry when I have to pay for anything.
Wish the weather was better though. I had to iron some warmer work clothes tonight as its so cold in the office. At least my packing will be easy for next week if its all jeans and jumpers!
Anyway, back to normality (if thats possible in our house). All bills paid, holiday spends sorted, enough groceries in the kitchen to keep us going until the weekend just about. Supermarkets are even dropping the petrol price (and so they should!!!!!)
Just need to do more washing and ironing so we've enough clothes to stay decent for the week. All this decluttering is fine, but I wish I had another couple pairs of jeans! This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
Fingers crossed x0
