Rangemaster chimney cooker hood, vent to side?

hi, hope someone can answer my question.
Ok new kitchen being fitted in 2 weeks, just about to order a rangemaster chimney cooker hood BUT I am really struggling to find out online if this type can be 'vented' from the side?
our old hood had ducting running ontop of cupboards to enable it to vent outside, but it was a flat extractor. Want to do the same thing if possible with this new hood.
thanks in advance for any help and advice, really do not want to waste my money if its not going to work.

  • A lot of Rangemaster hoods are self-circulating so they dont vent anywhere. Just pass the air through carbon filters & back in to the kitchen

& by the way.... They work...
    Not Again
  • thankyou ;-) that would be better than a load of ducting across the top! thanks again for response :D

I know what you mean by lack of information with Rangemaster hoods. Unfortunately I cant help you there but ducting out is always better than recirculating.

    Just some hints and tips-
Keep the length of the run to under 2m is possible. Keep bends to a minimum. Use the largest possible ducting cross section you can accommodate. Use a round duct if possible. If you are going to go over 3m with a couple of bends, its almost certainly better to recirculate

Yes, you can duct a Rangemaster hood through the side. It's just a case of cutting a hole in which ever side you need the ducting to go through.

My fitter side-vented a Rangemaster Classic hood last week :)
If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

    Completely misleading !!!

Rangemaster hoods (all of them) can be fitted either vented out or recirculating.
