Is E7 a good idea with convection heaters in the flat?

There were two other properties I rented also fitted with E7, please quote me the section where these were also Prepayment systems?. Or are you being selective in your ASSUMPTIONS?. Maybe you just don't read posts properly?. Perhaps if you spent more time reading what people post, rather than who is writing a reply to you.......
I mentioned three properties with E7, and only one which had Pre-payment E7, so i'm curious to know, how despite renting two with standard E7 tariffs, i'm making an unfair comparison?. Or have you just switched off the crystal ball again?"Dont expect anybody else to support you, maybe you have a trust fund, maybe you have a wealthy spouse, but you never know when each one, might run out" - Mary Schmich0 -

go on admit it!, you are on E7 aren't you!I'm sure you didn't really mean to frighten the O/P ref their E7 did you
That said, you should always do your own research, find out your own 'Peak rate' electricity tariff on whatever E7 tariff you are on, then how much a 2kw / 3kw heater costs to run and how many units it consumes in an hour, and do your own math multiplied by how many heaters you intend to run. I'm pretty sure you'll find the figures on my post(s) are accurate in relation to the costs of running the heaters I mentioned during peak rates for those example tariff's and not just plucked out of the air to make some kind of point."Dont expect anybody else to support you, maybe you have a trust fund, maybe you have a wealthy spouse, but you never know when each one, might run out" - Mary Schmich0 -

HiYa chris1973, I didn't say I was and didn't say I was not, but its on record here in this forum, and yes I am.
It gets a bad press.
If you were beginning you would not start with E7
But if you've already got it, you have to work from there not a wish list driven by the ' I wouldn't start from here brigade ' of five grands worth of a~n~other option not available to you because you live in a flat with no gas !Disclaimer : Everything I write on this forum is my opinion. all over a 1hr 30 minute period, as Id'ed by the timestamps. I just take time to write and carefully compose and often rethink the detail of posts rather than the two or three line replies some of the regulars here may write - I know this isn't the norm around here, which is why it probably stands out to you. Thanks for caring enough to highlight it, but as far as post edits go, its not unique to this thread and i'm sure if you check my older posts from months back you'll find its pretty much a routine for me to rethink / add information to my original posts.
Why not go boost your postcount by writing a post detailing how many times a member has edited their post. Why not do it several times on one thread, i'm sure those reading it will find it highly useful and helpful, or do you only do this in response to others whose own opinions / experiences of a topic differ from your own?. I believe there is only one person not playing nice around here, and it certainly isn't me."Dont expect anybody else to support you, maybe you have a trust fund, maybe you have a wealthy spouse, but you never know when each one, might run out" - Mary Schmich0 -
I am a little puzzled at the exchange of posts above! There is an assumption that the OP has storage heaters????
This is what the OP wrote:Is E7 a good idea with convection heaters in the flat?
We just moved in a flat with convection heaters and have E7 electricity, I'm considering switching to a standard tariff because we will most probably be using the heaters at the peak time, not between 11.30pm and 7.30 am. Any advice will much appreciated as this is the first time I had to deal with such heating setup. We're not using heating now, but just want to be prepared for the future
Surely the OP doesn't mean they have storage heaters!0 -
I suspect that what they are describing as convectors are modern storage heaters. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
