Credit card bill

Hello,
Can I pay my credit card bill in few payments (spread it) before it is due?
Thanks
Anya

Yes you can make payments early if you like before your bill comes.

I'd be careful though, the payments might be credited to the last statement, and you may not have a credit against your new statement,
then you end up thinking you have paid and they dont allocate a payment to it, hence, late/no payment charge.
People have been on here with the problem.

Your payments between the statement date and the due date (or a few days before) need to come to at least the minimum payment on the statement, but as long as you meet that then you can make payments whenever.

Thank you for your replies. What I actually mean is spreading the payment after I've received the bill and before it's due. Let's say I've got a £600 bill and I would like to pay it in 2 or 3 instalments (before the deadline). Can I do it? Or should I pay the whole amount at once?
    Thanks

Why would you want to fart about paying it in bits, paying it, if youve got it, gets it out of the way, surely

    Yes you can do that.

If you pay off the balance in full every month and so are not charged then doing it like this won't make any difference.
If you don't pay the balance in full each month then you will pay more interest in paying it in chunks than if you paid it all as soon as your statement arrives (but less than if you paid it all just before the due date).
