I read this with interest as I have the same problem... am I the only one who doesn't like to put anything with my address on in the bin? The only solution I've found is to go over each address with indelible marker (which doesn't always work :( ) or to rip out each address label and put that into the 'for burning box' then put the remainder which can't be burned into the domestic rubbish a few at a time.
    Maybe it's just me...:o
I do keep some for recycling but they seem to breed in the drawer!:)

Why don't you like doing this?

I don't put anything like letters or bills that have my address on them in the bin but I've never worried about envelopes. Our addresses are on countless databases for anyone who wants to know them.

I always put anything with my name and address through a shredder. Any jiffy bags etc get recycled if possible.

Why don't you put them on Gumtree and you may get a few pounds for them? Worth a try first, then stick them on Freecycle if they don't sell.

(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...

Thanks, I suppose you are right but I just think that it helps anyone who tries to steal your id by going through your rubbish. Sounds silly even to me now that I've put it into words!:o:o:o:rotfl:
