What to do with unwanted parcel bags?

Hi,
We have literally hundreds of used, but re-usable, parcel bags (plasticy) and jiffy bags (paper with bubble wrap inside) lying around in our house, mainly from ebay purchases. We do use some up when we sell online, for sending onwards. However, we just have so many all over the place and really need to get rid of some, it seems a shame and not very eco friendly just to throw them away (don't think they can be recycled). Does anyone have any ideas?

Put them on your local Freecycle - they will be of use to someone. Some days you're the dog..... most days you're the tree!0

The grey ones are LDPE and can be recycled - check your local recycling. My local council recycles loads of plastics and polythenes now, including yoghurt pots and all the plastic trays that seem compulsory for fruit and veg and meat in superstores nowadays. If I'm over the hill, where was the top?0

Why not simply list them on e-bay as job lots? I'm sure there are plenty of e-bayers that would love to buy cheap shipping materials. If you feel my comments are helpful then I'd love it if you 'Thanked' me!0

Some good ideas on this post, I agree that it seems a shame to waste them.

I wish. I can only sell 10 items a month because of ebay's 'new seller limits' which seem to last indefinitely0 -
I tried to give away my old jiffy bags but ended up with a hundred or more cluttering the place up. In the end I cut them up and saved the bubble wrap and recycled the paper bit. A few had the bubbles glued to the paper but most were easy to salvage. Now I have a dustbin bag full of bubble, and loads of charities want that.0

Thanks, will probably try the Freecycle idea first, and then this one0
