sorry not to have posted - we have been too busy formulating our main objection for posting to the council - to the website - and checking we can make more than one submission. Also been talking to all the neighbours, had already spoken to those immediately round, now going a bit further - and it's just amazing the contacts and skills out there and happy to help - just like MSE, if you ask you may get help! I think we have enough to either get them to withdraw the application (for the moment!) or get it called-in i.e. to get it to the planning committee- at present a single planning officer could make the decision. We have discovered all sorts of really interesting stuff that may or may not prove useful (nothing personal about the applicant/ our neighbour, this is truly not a personal vendetta, we just don't think the plans are the right ones for this area) , we are just chasing down every alley to see if they result in stuff we can use to make 'material planning consideration' objections, but who knows where the paths lead...... Need some more sleep - the dawn was truly wonderful this morning........0

Have just heard our local councillor has 'called in' the application, which means it's up to the planning committee to decide, rather than just the planning department. So now we have some time to prepare a three minute presentation about the planning considerations we believe it contravenes. At least we've got this far, so fingers crossed - I'll post some of the things we have done so far, for example some councils, e,g, Doncaster have a specific policy document about tandem / backland developments which outlines all the possible negatives and when they would not allow it. It has proved very useful to us as consolidating our ideas and for the language of the planning departments.0
