This is always the problem i the sales. In Debenhams the other day I saw the Robo Sapien RS Media thing half-price just after Xmas. Reduced from £300 to £150.

Very annoying after Christmas! Every year I say that I'm going to not buy Xmas pressies until after Xmas, but of course I never do!

Anyway, couple of years ago I paid £3000 for my plasma. Today you can buy the HD-ready version for £899. Sigh...

We do 12 Days of christmas here....so kids open gifts bit by bit over the 12 days..this means we can buy non electronic pressies early all year round in the sales, and we we wait for the after christmas clearances for the "hot" Christmas toys and electronics as they always go for less money. Stores always mark up before Christmas knowing people want them for gifts, and mark down after to shift the stock after all the gift buying is usually done.

My nephew got money from rellies so he could go to the sales to get what he wanted, and he not only got the one item he was really after, but a few more wishes as well!
