Travelling to Silverstone

Morning all!
Okay I could do with a bit of help, I'm going to the Renault World Series at Silverstone and am finding it hard to figure out just how to get there using public transport - though I'm sure it is possible - can anyone advise me on how to get there using trains coaches and buses? Even if you just know where I need to get to on each leg of the journey I'd be most greatful.
I'll be travelling from Hertfordshire and can easily get to London or Cambridge to travel on from there if that makes it simpler!
Any ideas greatly appreciated

I have no idea but would start from the Sliverstone end and work back
Whats the bus that goes past/near etc.
Another option since it is a popular event might be getting close and hitching the last bit.
this help bus numbers might have changed

Ah that looks like it'll help hugely! Not knowing the area I had no idea on anything up there!

Might steer clear of the hitching though - for some reason wherever I go whatever I do I attract the loons :rotfl:
But thanks for that, now I can input actual places into my search rather than the random How to get from Cambridge to silverstone search which brings up nothing :beer:The "Bloodlust" Clique - Morally equal to all.
