Travelodge Hotel booked - question

Hi
I booked a 2 night "saver" room last week - not in the sale, but later the same day I found out that the dates had changed. I emailed and spoke to someone on the phone at Travelodge and they cannot change my dates.
My question is has anyone been in this situation? If I cancel then I lose over £140. Can anyone suggest where / how I could sell the booking on? I don't want to sell on ebay.
Thanks in advance

If you sell the booking on and someone then trashes your room you could end up in a whole heap of poop.0

That's the chance you take when you book saver rates. Hotels generally won't make any amendments without you losing out.0

Thanks for information. I never thought of that. I'll just have to put it down to learning not to book saver rooms and not with Travelodge.0

Hi,
could you not change your dates because the hotel was full?
I see on the site you can change Saver rooms up to seven days before arrival for a fee of £5.0 -
Hi
Tried that, but the new dates I need are fully booked for all types of rooms and rates.
I even asked if I could change the date and stay in a different travelodge, but they said no!0 -

Hi,
Then how about changing the dates for some future date, when you can go - better than losing £140 ....

this is my thought too . Also thinking about this can you rebook say three times (change to sept then to jan then to next may ??) until you need these dates in that hotel . Even for a fiver per booking its got to be worth it. hard as nails on the internet . wimp in the real world :cool:0 -

Hi,
It is not really travelodge fault thou is it?
You booked a saver rate which can not be cancelled - but they are allowing to move it - so move it to a date you can attend.
