Does anyone know the where to find the settings to automatically delete e mails from my Microsoft Outlook inbox once I have read them in Virgin Media mail? I have tried disabling IMAP in settings - forwarding and POP/IMAP - IMAP access when logged into Virgin but that doesn't seem to do anything.
Thanks in advance

If you're saying what i think you're saying; there isn't one.
If you're logging on to webmail and reading mails you can't delete them from Outlook. Outlook downloads the emails onto your PC so there's a physical copy on your PC, if you read them online then it's completely unrelated to your PC and Outlook.0 -
I suspect you are using POP which is rubbish.
you need to set up VM mail using IMAP in outlook, then when you delete or archive an email using VM web mail the next time you start outlook it will sync and match the web interface. (if outlook is already open you may need to click the send/recieve button)
the opposite is also true using IMAP, ie delete an email in outlook and it deletes it on the web interface (or at least archives it)0 -
Thanks for your comments. I log onto Virgin and open and reply to emails on my laptop but when I open Outlook (which I don't have on the laptop) on my desktop computer, the emails are all there too. I was hoping there was a way of deleting them automatically on Outlook once I have opened them on Virgin but I suspect this isn't possible?
Thanks again0
