Scottish Hydro Electric tariff
Anyone know whether the Scottish Hydro Electric tariffs have changed
recently ? I'm considering switching to them for both elec and gas (from Scottish Power and British Gas) as all the comparison sites suggest I'll save 160 quid per year, but first want to find out where SHE is in the cyce of
price changes, ie I don't fancy changing only to find that they bump up prices a month from now.

scottish hydro prices increased on march 1st and july 1st for new customers and apparently they promise no new prices increases for the rest of the year0

Call them, they have a free number on the website and are quite happy to give the details out, which will be specific to your area as well. I had to call BG as I am switching from them to SHE and the guy on the phone was insisting that the SHE prices had just increased by 50% and BG was thus much cheaper, but as far as I could tell the SHE prices have gone up by less than 1p a unit, not to mention that as I only use a few of the 'second tier' units a month most of my BG units were charged at about 15p each in the daytime (stupid Economy 7). Even with the standing charge, SHE should still be quite a lot cheaper.DFW stats:
