Ive found an even cheaper way of turning over your channels and increasing the volume on all appliances without any problems, whats more its not only cheaper its FREE. Simply get off your !!!!!! and WALK to the appliance in question and press the required button to achieve channel or volume change. This also has the benefit of enabling circulation which is proven to prevent thrombosis and other causes of couch potato syndrome.

This is fantastic Spooky - if you are able to walk.
Some people would love to be able to switch the tv channels by walking to it.

I agree, those able should get off backsides - but please remember there are people out there less fortunate than yourself...

I find I use my tv to access teletext more than actually watch the hours of crappy programmes(e.g soaps, makeover shows etc) these days and the only way to do that is via a remote.

I bought the Poundland Remote the other day - I'll try again later but so far I haven't been able to get it to do anything with my JVC TV or a Sony TV.

You can also get software (free sometimes) for some mobile phones (providing they have an infra red port) that will control TVs etc.
