Quick warning, folks, ordered driftwood table May from this company, had good reviews, including on this site, but told it was on back order, money cashed darn quickly though. No sign of order within stipulated time table, no response to emails, website seems to have gone under (checked under "is it just down for me" website) , sales number doesn t accept incoming calls and customer service number is reported voice mail full. Another check on line , i cant post link here as new user, but google "is qualityfurniture4us still trading/bankrupt" etc throws up lots of people in a similar situation, and claims that company has gone into liquidation. Sage Pay wont underwrite orders, banks want chapter and verse from company house (and how long will that take) - any tips on how to get cash back, paid by debit card.

Why on earth did you pay by debit card? ALWAYS CREDIT CARD!!!
Even with debit, just chargeback with the bank. Although probably a bit harder than with credit card.

I purchased some bedroom furniture from this company on 20th June and so far nothing. No phone call regarding delivery, no e-mail with any delivery information. I have e-mailed and there has been no response. I called and an automated responses tells me the mail box is full. How can I check with this comany has gone into adminsitration? It's shame as I really liked the furniture and was really looking forward to getting it. I paid by credit card so will be in touch with my bank about getting my money.

I placed an order for £1195 of bedroom furniture back in June 2011. I had the same experience my money was debited in full- no acknowledgement so I chased. Then a vague email saying that my furniture should be delivered in 28 days. I think I smelt a rat at this point so hounded the company until I finally spoke to a man who gave me a delivery date. He still sounded unsure and my instincts told me there was something dodgy about this company. I then demanded that a % of my money be refunded immediately on the basis that my order would not be delivered until the start of August and they planned to hold onto my money for 2 months!! I told them that either they refunded 80% of money or I would cancel my order immediately. I was again suspicious when they agreed to do this after avery non convincing speech about "taking 100% of money upfront was company policy and completely standard in the industry".

I therefore seem to have lost £239 which I hope First Direct are going to refund as I paid on my credit card. Shame I didn't trust my instincts at the beginning and take my business else where. Sorry to all those who have lost their money with this bunch of unscrupulous cowboys. Lets wait and see where they pop up again!
