Paypal claim taking agggges!

Options
I ordered something on the 8th June (not through ebay) and it was supposedly dispatched the same day, by the end of the month I still had not received it and the company were less than helpful just simply telling me to wait, and that it couldn't be tracked as it was posted by RM.

Needless to say I decided to open a INR - this finally changed status yesterday after being open for around 15 days, its now telling me my case is under investigation and they will decided on an outcome on August 1st.

Is this usual for paypal to take this long?, Ive opened a few INR claims in my ebaying life and never had had to wait this long before!

No it is not usual. A paypal case is usually quite clear and without proof of delivery will close in a buyers favour after 10 days.

Yours sounds more like an ebay case which is odd as ebay were not involved.

You did do a full INR chargeback didn't you when you opened the case?

so you opened a standard INR with paypal, where you are to communicate with the seller, after 15 days this has changed and now wont be resolved until 1st August.

well i can almost guarantee that the seller has esculated the case which means that Paypal will review all communicatiosn between you and the seller and then decide the outcome. this will be the reason it is taking longer.

you should have received an email from paypal explaining this, but you can also check in your paypal account by opening the claim in the resolution center and looking at the progress area for the dispute communications.

I had a paypal claim, it took nearly two months, had sent messages got useless we're looking in to it, followed by you're refund will be made in the next 7 days. I ended up phoning several times and really ranting and raving before I got my money, I am not convinced they actually know what they are doing at paypal.
My Mind wanders, if found please return.

Ive no idea! As far as Im aware I just opened a dispute as you would usually, it then went to the seller to provide information, which was update with 'cannot provide tracking'. And now yesterday changed to saying a claims specialist was reviewing my case.....

To me that sounds like they don't beleive me and that they won't refund my money? Its not like I have a history of INR disputes or anything - my last one was back in Jan when an ebay item never turned up and the seller never once contacted me...

Not had any emails from paypal other than them telling me the seller had updated with the 'cannot provided tracking details' and that was it

Ive no idea other than that....
