Next Sales-returning faulty item

Options
Went to Next today not realising their sale started today:doh:

Anyhow, picked up 2 dresses in the sale-could not try them on as changing rooms were closed. Ive got home-the first dress just isnt at all nice on me, but the second has a hole in the back-quite noticeable.

Bascially I'm pretty sure their signs said sale items are only exchanges not refunds, but I am under the impression that if an item is faulty, whether sale or non-sale, they have to give me a refund, unless i was told about the fault before i purchased. There is nothing on the labels to say it had a hole, and i didnt notice it in the shop, probably as it was so manic in there.

Some advice would be great,thanks

i thought if bought on the first day of sale they offered refunds the day after as you cant try the item on instore.

i would have tried them on,but didnt fancy getting undressed in middle of store lol
  • The fitting rooms were closed - therefore they allow you to return the items for a refund. You have until 13th August to return them.

I've never known Next not to accept sale items for refunds - BUT - if their fitting rooms are closed due to the volume of customers, they have to allow you to return & refund (as they'd be unlikely to have the same one in a different size a few days later).

It's a faulty item, and was not marked as such, so yes, you can return it.
  • return them both, the one should be excepted as it is damaged, and the other because you could not test to see if it was fit for purpose.
