AOL ADSL filter

Could anyone tell me if my friend can use my, no longer needed, AOL ADSL grey box. I upgraded to a router and my fiends ADSL is faulty so thought I'd offer her my old one - is it that simple??

    If by "grey box" you mean modem, yes it should work fine providing she enters her username/password details.
