Ink has always been a rip off, it's the same as razor blades. You could try to 'fill your own' but this often leads to a messy outcome.0 -
Bin it and buy an Epson or a Brother printer

I read somewhere that razor blades are the item most often taken by shoplifters ..
Electric razor foils and cutters are another great rip off
As another poster has stated, buy another printer and then get 'own brand' cartridges/
I have used Inkrite and Jet-tec cartridges without any problems or loss of quality.0 -
Ask here about their refill by post at £7 for black and £9 for colour

Ask if they refill high capacity cartridges for the same cost, if so, it could be worth buying a set of high capacity compatibles, then using the refill by post option

inks for certain epson printers are really cheap, i personally use INK-POWER via ebay, works out about 75p per cartridge for my epson SX200, can get cheaper but i havent tried them yet as i'm still using the 14carts i bought from ink-power.0
