I don't know the answer to the limited company question, the do you need it before or not, but you can set one up very cheaply on-line.

As this is a money saving webiste, this one is particularly cheap and their website is very sparse looking http://www.1stchoice-formations.co.uk/

There are many others you can find just by googling it. Think the real cost to file the paper work is about £16. Might be an idea to register it just to stop someone else getting ahold of the name you want. Same with a domain name if you are going to have a website. A cheap one for that is www.daily.co.uk

    Hope this is of help.

    hi
thanks i will take a look at that, in the meantime i spoke to our mortage advisor and she said we cant borrow off our home for a business?? I told her, ok its not for that then its for something else, but she said because we have already told her she has logged it down, dammit. She has spoke to the business manager we initially supposed to have met monday, and has asked to recontact him to see what he can do, i bet a business loan from nat west is more beneficial to them than a remortgage!!

well another obstacle arises, spoke to the business manager about our plan yesterday, and he advised that he will be down our local branch between 10.00am - 13.00 today just call in anytime between then and he will have a quick look at it. Guess what? we went down at 11.15am today and he wasnt there and had already left ( by now im fuming) The branch staff tried phoning him for around half an hour but it went straight to answer machine. To be honest what business manager leaves his phone off!! totally different to the last one i saw, very professional, im thinking of going elsewhere had a tit full now, what a start.

Have you got an accountant yet?
You might have more luck if they arrange to send the business plan to the bank(s) first and then you arrange to meet with the bank once they've looked through it. They'll have personal contacts with the banks and know which person at each branch/area is the best to deal with.
The accountants will probably also be able to give you a good steer on which might be the best banks to approach for your specific business/industry and might be able to suggest different funding options - eg instead of all loan maybe part of the money on invoice finance or asset finance - that might be more appealing to the banks.
