DAB + Docking Station & speaker query

After moving into 2006 by getting a MP3 player, transferring my CDs to hard drive and playing from a laptop using windows media player through my old hi-fi. I now want to get a system that incorperates a Digital radio, hard drive with MP3s on and means of playing, external speakers.
I don't need a docking station with removable MP3 player is there a fixed unit, not IPOD though.
Also playing music from the laptop to old hi-fi is a bit of a hassle what spec is needed for speakers I can get for the laptop. The sound quality through the hi-fi is excellent but through cheap computer speakers very tinny.
