But what about the mince pies?! can't see any of these in tescos, and last year I'm sure they were down to silly prices. Maybe it's still a bit early....

Sainsburys at Dome roundabout in Watford have loads and loads of boxes of chocs, selection boxes, crisps and snacks, party food and gifts reduced.

Best value chocolate in my opinion is Marks and Spencers new organic bar range. Often in past few months it was on offer at 2 for 1 (though not now).

BTW I used to like Maltesers until I heard they are high in trans fats.

I love it when M&S have their chocolate on offer. I work there so with the offer prices and my staff discount it beats pretty much everywhere that I have seen for value. I buy it anyway as it still works out cheaper with my discount that any of the brands.
My favourite at the moment is their Organic Fairtrade milk chocolate with almonds, it has 36% cocoa solids, absolutely scrummy.
I've been told the dark chocolate one is lovely by customers but I don't personally eat dark chocolate unless its an After Eight style mint.

I love Maltesers so I'm not going to give them up but I didn't realise they contained trans fats, too busy scoffing them to look at the label.:o

I do get a lot of my food from M&S though and they have removed trans fats from their products now so it is probably only the Maltesers that are letting me down.

I used to eat value crisps until I learnt that the oil used to make them would have been used at least 3/4 times before frying them. They are ridden with trans fats.

I love M&S food, but I just love food in general.:o

I don't post all the time about the bargains I see at work but some things just need to be posted as not only do they taste good but some of the prices are very reasonable I think.

I'll second that, that's my favourite bar too. Its miles better than Green and Blacks organic even. For people eating Quality Street, Maltesers etc I strongly recommend you try this choc bar - it will save you money because once you've tried it you'll realise the rest aren't actually that good.
